Publisher Team17 announced on July 11 that it will conduct a closed beta test (CBT) for pre-order buyers of the dieselpunk FPS Marauders. The implementation period is from July 15th to 20th local time.

Marauders is an online FPS game set in space. The supported platform is PC (Steam). Players, alone as space pirates or in teams of three, rush into a huge map building. While searching for loot, engage in battles (raids) with enemy players and enemy AI.

The world of this work is set that human beings have advanced into space from the earth that has been industrialized to the limit without the end of World War I. The spacecraft and the map building are also dieselpunk designs, not futuristic science fiction. Weapons are also relatively retro, such as the firearms used in World War I and World War II.

This work was held a closed alpha test for pre-order buyers in May. In the gameplay during the test, the player navigates the outer space to the frigate with a spaceship. It was a flow of landing on a huge building and exploring the map. In outer space, you can fight with the enemy player's spaceship. You can aim to destroy enemies or take over ships before fighting on the map. On the other hand, in the search on the map, it is naturally a battle between living humans. You can enjoy a shootout full of tension. After exploring until you are satisfied, escape from the map on your own ship.
