As expected, the Nordic World Ski World Cup 2027 takes place in Falun in Sweden. This was announced by the World Association FIS on Wednesday after a meeting in Milan. The small place with a large winter sports tradition is for the fifth time after 1954, 1974, 1993 and 2015, which is held every two years. Falun was the only applicant, the award to the Swedes was therefore only a matter of form. Previously, the title fights 2023 take place in the Slovenian Planica and 2025 in Trondheim in Norway.
The German Ski Association (DSV) also got the next event in Nordic skiing: The Ski Flight World Cup takes place in Oberstdorf in 2026. Since there are only four suitable flying ski jumps worldwide, the Heini Klopfer skiing ski jump in the Allgäu changes with the sessions in Planica, Vikersund (Norway) and the Austrian Bad Mitterndorf. Here, too, there was no opponent when awarding.
