Blizzard North was the Bay Area department of Blizzard Enjoyment, known for its Diablo series. The studio was initially based in Redwood City, California, before relocating a brief range away to San Mateo, with Blizzard appropriate being based in Irvine, southern California.
The bad news about Blizzard does not break off. A sexism scandal still overshadows the studio. Now with Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 are moved two of the most important titles and the new co-boss goes after 3 months. What does all this mean for the future of Blizzard? Listen to PODCAST.
In the latest Investor Earnings Call Blizzard has revealed a few details, which relate to the future of the company. Now it is clear: Blizzard moves the release of Diablo IV and Overwatch 2. The games will no longer appear before 2023. After the next Blazon has already been canceled, it may not come as the biggest surprise.
In the same breath, however, the new studio co-boss Jen ONEAL announces that she leaves Blizzard. Thus, within one year, the three most powerful women left the company at Blizzard.
New games are not in sight long. The hope is now resting on Diablo Immortal, the Mobile offshoot to Diablo.
